Osian Roberts/Steve Fishwick Quintet tour
Tenor saxophonist Osian Roberts returns to his native Cardiff as part of a tour with his quintet co-led by trumpter Steve Fishwick.Osian learnt his chops as a teenager at the weekly jam sessions at the old Four Bars Inn (now Dempseys) opposite Cardiff Castle before attending the Royal Academy of Music in London.He's since performed in more than twenty countries worldwide with stars like Dave Cliff, Peter King, Cedar Walton and others.The quintet's tour includes the following dates:Weds 9 February - Swansea: St James Social ClubThurs 10 February - Cardiff: Cafe JazzFriday 11 February - Pontypool: Open Hearth, Sebastopol See www.myspace.com/robertsfishwickquintet for more about the band.
