Aberjazz Speakeasy - Friday 15 April

Aberjazz are launching a new monthly night of soul, jazz, blues, funk, Latin, ska, rockin' RnB and more at the Abergwaun Hotel, Fishguard, Pembrokeshire this Friday 15th April 2011 at 8.30pm.

Hosted by the original Get Funky! Crew from the Wdig Sports Club - 100% vinyl, keeping it real for that funky feel!

They promise low admission and membership charge.

Butetown Bay Jazz - May bank holiday weekend

Butetown Bay Jazz Heritage Festival takes plae once again at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay from Saturday 30 April to Sunday 1 May 2011.

The free event including performances from Li Harding and the Gary Phillips Trio, Tomorrow's Warriors, 5 Go Swing, National Youth Jazz Wales, Wase, Patti Flynn, Humie Webbe, The Floor Technicians, Stainless Steve ft Julie Gordon, JW Community Music, This Bass and many more.

There'll also be workshops and exhibitions plus DJs from Radio Cardiff.

Big Fat Gypsy Disco - Tuesday 12 April

My Big Fat Gypsy Disco will be making a guest appearance at The Globe in Cardiff tomorrow - Tuesday 12 April - as part of a benefit night for Show Racism The Red Card.

It's my new mix of Balkan beats, gypsy grooves and other tunes related to the Roma tradition.

There'll also be live music from The Cougar and Romantic Rights. Doors 7.30pm, admission £8 or £5 concessions.

Pontypool Jazz Festival 2011 - Sept 2 to 4

Jeff Hooper and his Big Easy Swing Band will open the 2011 Pontypool Jazz Festival running from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 September.

All the gigs are due to take place in the Active Living Centre in Pontypool Park.

The festival will have the theme of Jazz from Wales, providing a showcase for talented Welsh-born musicians.
