Meadow play Cardiff with McCormack/Yarde

John Taylor, Tore Brunborg, Thomas Stronen join forces as the trio Meadow to play the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff on Thursday 20 October 2011.

Three of Europe's finest and most sensitive players, they'll be showcasing tunes from their album Blissful Ignorance.

Support comes from Andrew McCormack and Jason Yarde.

The gig starts 7.30pm, tickets £12 or £10 concessions.

Chris Hodgkins Quartet on tour

Chris Hodgkins returns to Wales in October 2011 for his annual tour with his quartet.

The Cardiff-raised trumpeter and director of Jazz Services UK will be joined by Alison Rayner on bass, Max Brittain on guitar and Diane McLoughlin on saxphones.

Chris leads his quartet through a selection of tunes from his previously released albums, plus new originals by Max and Diane, and some new arrangements by Eddie Harvey of Stompy Jones (Duke Ellington), Blues in the Afternoon (Humphrey Lyttelton) and Lemony DM.
